Xiaomi phones will be more secure with Android 15

With Google’s introduction of Android 15, we are all wondering how the new features that will be added to Android at the end of this year will come to Xiaomi. Let’s talk a little bit about the new features to come while Xiaomi quickly gives the Android 15 Beta 1 update to its phones.

Key on Safety Upgrades with Xiaomi Android 15

Personal Space Enhancements

Features, like the hide app function of HyperOS, were baked into Android 15, with deep-rooted ways to hide and lock apps from the user. This allows the resilience of privacy features not to be worked around by bad actors. If the Personal Space feature in Android 15 and the app hiding features available in HyperOS work in tandem, the result could be much more secure.

Offline Find Device

The new ‘Find My Device’ feature has a ‘lost mode’ feature whereby it still works even if the device has been powered off. This simply means that Xiaomi customers will now be able to trace their lost devices more effectively through this update of Android’s ability to trace phones that have been powered off.

In turn, the functions made up one of the proprietary layers of Xiaomi on top of the older iterations of Android, adding deeper integration in Android 15 in the process; this now makes phones from Xiaomi among the most secure in the market.

Android 15 is already available for testing with some Xiaomi devices, where users can be free to download and uncover new features that bring security and privacy to the forefront. The users will primarily benefit from the update since, together with enjoying the latest features, their data, and device are well-protected thanks to a solid commitment to security and a robust Android ecosystem. This update is yet another testament to the committed dedication by Xiaomi toward user experience enhancement through relentless advancement and innovation in terms of security.

Everything looks great, but there is one question, whether the Redmi Note 11 pro 5G series smartphones are also taken into account, because after all, these are smartphones from one manufacturer and it would be a shame to leave without security support and the possibility of updating to android 14 or 15. I would like to emphasize at this point, however, that these are smartphones with good technical specifications and it would be nice to work on it to keep it up to date and not just the latest, well, because it is, however, for some users a problem and that is why they run away from certain obstacles to update them through left channels, which puts it in a not very good light manufacturer Xiaomi.
