An intense competition has started among Chinese phone manufacturers, after Xiaomi unveiled their 300W charging technology now it’s OPPO’s turn! Previously, Xiaomi had published a video revealing how fast the 300 Watt charging is.
300W charging by OPPO
OPPO has not yet shared anything about their upcoming device with 300 Watt charging technology but rumors suggest that they’re working on it. The 300 Watt smartphone was also unveiled by Xiaomi, although it is still not available for purchase. There are phones with fast charging technology on the market, these devices go through a rigorous safety testing process.
Xiaomi managed to accomplish this feat by incorporating a 4100 mAh battery into its phone that can be charged at 300 Watt. OPPO takes this one step further, we can expect a device that comes with a 4600 mAh battery and 300W charging in the future. The phone filled to 50% in 2 minutes using 300W with Xiaomi’s implementation, OPPO’s technology should also achieve comparable results.
Digital Chat Station on Weibo( Chinese social media platform) claimed that OPPO is working on 300W charging technology with a dual cell battery and 4600 mAh capacity. realme Neo GT 5 a phone by a sub-brand of OPPO, already features 240W fast charging. The phone also has a 4600 mAh battery, if OPPO will be successful in this charging technology, it will reach 300W fast charging without shrinking the battery. Xiaomi was able to charge at 300W with only 4100 mAh battery.
