Xiaomi HyperOS may no longer use Android

Xiaomi HyperOS started to rise very quickly after the MIUI operating system. The number of devices using Xiaomi HyperOS has exceeded 10 million. This incredible power that Xiaomi has gained has led people to think about different questions. Will Xiaomi, which wants to use its own operating system like Huawei, no longer use Android?

Xiaomi’s mysterious HyperOS badges

Xiaomi’s latest flagship phone, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, has a very different badge on the box that other Xiaomi devices do not have. It says Powered by Xiaomi HyperOS. Normally, when such a badge was found, it would say Powered by Android. However, we see the Powered by Xiaomi HyperOS badge on Xiaomi’s latest phone.

And what do we see when we open the phone?

Of course, Xiaomi HyperOS is powered by Android. Xiaomi HyperOS says “Powered by Android” at the bottom of the screen when it turns on. However, this situation still brings to mind the question of whether a device that uses both Android and its own operating system like Huawei can come out.

What if Xiaomi leaves Android?

The best-selling smartphone brands in the world are Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. Apple doesn’t use Android either, but as you can see, it can be the best-selling smartphone. If Xiaomi leaves Android and switches to its own operating system, it will not be very difficult to gather an audience. It seems like it could be a great preparation against a possible US embargo on China.

Would you like to use Xiaomi’s own operating system on Xiaomi phones instead of Android?

I don’t think leaving android passing to another OS is a good thing. Android is better than the apple one. You should think to enhance the UI instead.

I would have liked HyperOS instead of Android, or Xiaomi has closed the applet for the Note 10 Pro/Max so there’s nothing to it.

Sim, eu usarei sistema operacional diferente se a fabricante do meu smartphone vier a ter seu próprio. Entendo que precisa ter diversidade para termos opções de escolhas que atendam nossas necessidades tecnológicas interativas.

It’s 50/50. If the OS of Xiaomi has useful features, then it’ll will escalate. Or if not, then it might lose its place amongst the best smartphones. Two examples already there, successful is Apple and the other Huawei.

Everything has and always worked well in android with multi platforms using and sharing information. Why would anyone want to go the same route as apple and use there own exclusive os.

Leaving Android would be a tremendous mistake for Xiaomi, I’ve always formatted phones to original android and without any stupid personalization imposed by phone brands.

We learned sience begin from what’s others finished..not going back to zero.
I beleive many android apps running v. We’ll and user friendly for all ages.
For example google services.. Photos.. Maps.. Meet… And many many others.
If hyper os can add value to android it will be great too rather than ignore android features.

I think it’s a good step for Xiaomi with a 45% risk, why? because Xiaomi always uses its innovation for important things. As we know, Xiaomi used to pioneer the lower middle class smartphone segment, they were very sharp in seeing that, when in the past there were only 2 segments. Their emergence has resulted in the presence of various smartphone segments and specifications. Then in terms of technology, Xiaomi is also developing quite rapidly and is in the top 4 IoT brands. Now they will come with their own operating system, I think it is good so that the world’s dependence on the Android operating system is reduced and America cannot be arbitrary towards the global market, especially Asia. I support them including Huawei, the market choices are now increasingly diverse and they will also be more alert… hahaha

I’m using a povo x5 pro 5g phone upgraded to hyper os. It’s all working perfectly. I don’t want xiaomi to leave the android system everything is fine and dandy. There would be no play store and many other nice things that android has and I love huawei and xiaomi phones

    That’s a long way off.
We need a normal file-sharing app for Xiaomi flagships and app Story is crooked at the moment that 80%+ of users don’t use it, that’s not including China and Korea and India.
Until all the bugs of the current time are solved, Hyper will be just an AndroidOS shell
