Xiaomi HyperOS 2’s new bug fixes announced

Xiaomi has officially revealed major progress in fixing several key HyperOS issues in flagship smartphones, among them the Xiaomi 15 Pro and the photography monster Xiaomi 13 Ultra. The announcement, made through Xiaomi Community on April 4, outlines major improvements users have been clamoring for since the early rollout of HyperOS 2.

Fixed Issues in the Recent Update

The new update brings solutions to a number of long-standing issues that were impacting the user experience of Xiaomi’s flagships:

  • Volume Control Interface Fix: The alignment problem with the volume bar pop-up window while pulling down the control center has been fixed, resulting in a smoother interface.
  • Battery Drain of Mi Band 9: Users of the Xiaomi 15/Pro having their battery drain quickly while connected by the Mi Band 9 can now get better battery efficiency.
  • Calculator Input Editing: Users are able to edit and change input numbers in the calculator app, a longtime annoyance overcome.
  • Improved Audio Quality: The metallic sound artifact while playing WeChat recordings has been removed.
  • Theme Display Problem: Duplicate borderless themes in the theme section of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra have been merged.

Problems Currently Under Focus

Xiaomi’s engineers are actively addressing a number of remaining issues:

  • Freezing of the screen and blackouts when altering minimum width in developer options
  • Unconventional desktop power usage in Redmi K70 Ultra
  • Vientiane screen/AOD display discrepancies and shortcut visibility issues in the lock screen
  • Volume adjustment module placement in some control center screens
  • Intelligent unsubscription feature for sports events

What This Means for Users of Xiaomi

These rollouts prove Xiaomi’s intent to continue polishing the HyperOS experience across its product line. The HyperOS2 platform is the most ambitious software revamp by Xiaomi, aimed at bringing a unified experience across smartphones, tablets, and the rest of the Xiaomi ecosystem.

“We are attentively hearing user feedbacks and giving top priority to fixing issues affecting daily usage most,” said a spokesperson in the community forum. “These are just the first of many optimizations being made in commitment to HyperOS greatness.”

Moving Ahead with HyperOS

With these upgrades, Xiaomi further positions HyperOS as a pillar of its product strategy. Fixes correct cosmetic as well as functional issues early adopters noted, demonstrating responsiveness by the firm towards community feedback.

Users of the impacted devices are recommended to check for system updates in order to get these improvements as soon as they are released in their country.

Saludos!
