Xiaomi 14T series launch date September 26: Here is what we know

Xiaomi has now confirmed the launch date of its highly-anticipated 14T series. The Chinese technology giant has created a countdown timer on its launch page, signaling the big unveiling for September 26, 2024. It is expected that with this confirmation, two devices will be launched: the Xiaomi 14T and the Xiaomi 14T Pro. While a complete disclosure of official information regarding specifications and prices has not been made yet, several reports have pointed out our expectations from these devices.

Xiaomi 14T & 14T Pro Known Specifications

Xiaomi 14T

While the standard model is said to be coming with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, it is learnt to have a price of around €649. The phone is also expected to run the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra chipset.

Xiaomi 14T Pro

While for the Pro variant, it is said that Xiaomi will provide 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. This would cost allegedly cost at €849. In addition, this is touted to be run using the Dimensity 9300+ for better performance. According to reports, both models will feature the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, promising seamless and dynamic visuals like never before.

Stand Camera

The next signature point, which is represented in both gadgets, refers to the camera system.

Xiaomi 14T

It is expected to use a Sony IMX906 1/1.56″ wide-angle sensor, along with a 50MP telephoto lens featuring 2.6x optical zoom and equivalent 4x optical zoom. Furthermore, it also covers a 12MP ultrawide lens to complete the camera module for various photographic needs.

Xiaomi 14T Pro

The Pro variant will most likely be fitted with a larger 1/1.31″ Light Fusion 900 basic sensor that will promise better low-light shots and overall camera performance. There is a telephoto lens for 2x optical equivalent zoom to assure sharp and detailed shots.

Price and Availability

While the specifications and prices were the subject of speculation, local availability and final pricing have yet to be confirmed. We should hear more on that very soon, during the September 26 official launch event. The 14T series from Xiaomi is thus likely to have high-end specifications at very competitive prices, in continuation with the brand heritage of introducing premium products at affordable price points. –
