realme releases an update for their entry-level phone that’s introduced in 2021, the Open Beta software is based on Android 13 and features the realme UI 4.0 user interface. realme 8i, which already runs on stable Android 12, now has the new Android 13 update as a Beta version.
Beta realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13
It’s important to note that this is Beta software, and realme advises users to back up their data before installing the update. The Open Beta program for Android 13 on the realme 8i started on May 29th.
The device must first be updated to firmware version RMX3151_11 C.19 or RMX3151_11 C.17 in order to install the Android 13 based realme UI 4.0 on realme 8i. Afterwards, the application for the Open Beta software can be done through the Software Update application. The new Android 13 Beta version has the version number of RMX3151_11 F.04.

It’s important to note that this is an early software release, so realme has provided a method to roll back to the previous version for users who are not satisfied with the experience of new update. More detailed information about the rollback process can be found on realme’s official forum.
