POCO X3 GT gets June update for Mi Pilot testers rolling out

POCO X3 GT receives the first significant update to firmware released since November 2023, aiming to boost security and user experience up to June 2024. This update is the first since November 2023 and focuses primarily on enhancing the device’s security features.

Update Details

The new POCO X3 GT update is version V14.0.6.0.TKPMIXM is just a bit ahead from the last update with V14.0.5.0.TKPMIXM. This only goes to suggest further that the changes should not be too significant between one another but essential for maintaining the safety and integrity of the device. The central theme of this update will, for obvious reasons be to fix the security issues rather than introducing new features or significant enhancements.

This update have April 2024 security patch, not June 2024.

Availability

This April security patch is currently seeded to members of the Mi Pilot program. That’s a very controlled type of rollout, one that allows Xiaomi a chance to get feedback and ensure the update is stable before it reaches a broad audience. There’s no official word from Xiaomi when the general POCO X3 GT user population can expect this update.

How to Get the Update

The update will be received as an OTA push by the Mi Pilot testers. Many a time, the participants in this program need to give their feedback so that Xiaomi can improve the software and provide general public release with better stability and reliability.

The Xiaomi POCO X3 GT now receives good support through regular updates, with the latest offering mainly taking care of security. This update is available for all Mi Pilot program users and can be installed to contribute to the development of the device.

Others will have to wait a bit longer, but they can rest easy knowing that security remains a top priority for Xiaomi in their ongoing support of the POCO X3 GT. Watch this space for more updates on when the April security patch will be available for all users, and ensure to update your device with this critical update to keep your smartphone running safely and smoothly.
