WhatsApp Beta version 2.23.8.4 for Android brings a brand new design. WhatsApp Beta version 2.23.8.4 is now available on Google Play Store. To upgrade to this version, you are required to participate in the Beta program, as implied by its name.
WhatsApp’s new design
WhatsApp has had the same design for quite a long time, even though it is constantly being updated with new features on Android. The new beta version of WhatsApp brings a bottom navigation bar just like Instagram.
The integration of the bottom navigation bar in WhatsApp has actually an importance for the design of Android apps to be consistent. Many of Google’s official apps, such as Google Photos and Google Play Store, have the navigation bar positioned at the bottom of the screen. In addition, WhatsApp for iOS is designed in the same way, with the navigation bar at the bottom.
This new design is currently in Beta version of WhatsApp, we don’t know when it will available in the stable version. Meta should also be updating Facebook with the new design, Facebook is another app with navigation bar at the top.
