For the very first day of the National Day holiday, driven by much anticipation over the Xiaomi 15 series, Redmi’s General Manager Lu Weibing took to Weibo with exciting news: he called Xiaomi 14 “well-deserved flagship of the year” after its robust sales and asked fans for their expectations from Xiaomi 15.
According to this post, the launching date for the Xiaomi 15 series could be very near, and sources say that it would be launched in October 2024. The comments by Weibing Lu therefore sparked hype in anticipation of the next flagship.
Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro Receive 3C Certification
The Xiaomi 15 with model number: 24129PN74C and Xiaomi 15 Pro Titanium Edition with model number: 2410DPN6CC have been cleared by 3C certification in China ahead of the launch. This certification will confirm that both the models will get 90W fast charging, facilitated by the MDY-14-EC charger, which is also available on the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Both models have begun manufacturing by Beijing Changshu Technology Co., Ltd. and Lens Technology Xiangtan Co., Ltd. to assure good production standards maintained by Xiaomi.
It is expected that the Xiaomi 15 will run on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2024, scheduled to take place from October 21st to 23rd, is expected to unveil the highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or what might be labeled as Snapdragon 8 Elite. Citing industry sources, the Xiaomi 15 series appears poised to become one of the launch phones to sport this new flagship chipset, promising significant leaps in performance regarding both speed and power efficiency, among other AI enhancements.
