How to unlock maximum fast charging on your Xiaomi Device

Fast charging has now become one of the main features that one seeks while buying a new smartphone. And Xiaomi has taken this urge as a cue to equip most of its devices with powerful fast charging capabilities that manage to impress one with its speeds. But, in many cases, the company caps the maximum charging speed by default to protect the health of the battery.

If you want to enable faster charging-which may be required for a particular situation-on your Xiaomi device, then you need to do so by following only a couple of easy steps. Here is how it can be done:

How to Unlock Maximum Fast Charging: A Step-by-Step Approach

The tool required is HyperOS Downloader to unleash the full potential of fast charging on your Xiaomi phone. This free app is useful not just to open some hidden system settings but also bring information about the “lifespan” of an update installed on your device.

Follow these simple steps to unlock maximum fast charge:.

  1. Download the HyperOS Downloader App: First, download the free HyperOS Downloader application to your Xiaomi device; it gives you access to a large number of options, which are usually hidden in system settings, such as acceleration of charging.
  1. Open the App and Go to Hidden Settings: Once installed, open the app and head to the bottom of the screen. Tap on “Hidden Settings” where you can tinker with setting system preferences.
  1. Find and enable the “Boost Charging Speed” option: Look for “Boost Charging Speed.” Just tap on it, and you’ll be directed to another menu where you will need to enable “Increase charging speed.”

This is going to give you the maximum capacity of the fast charging that your phone supports, be it 120W, 67W, or even more, with consideration to the model of the Xiaomi.

Why Does It Cap the Charging Speed by Default?

Xiaomi caps the maximum charging speed on its devices for them to live a longer life out there and maintain good health. High-speed charging produces more heat that, over time, affects battery performance. By default, that cap will save your phone’s battery from unnecessary strain during regular use.

When Should You Activate Fast Charging?

The ability to unlock the maximum fast charge is beneficial in certain cases when one needs a quick battery boost. However, this option should be used cautiously, as frequent use of fast charging at full speeds may affect battery duration over time. Having this feature at your fingertips gives you a needful boost in charging speeds, serves as an effortless option when literally every extra minute of charge counts.

If you have a smartphone equipped with mediatek chipset don’t beat yourself up, it does not support quick charge. Only Qualcomm does that…

T14 PRO, Boost Charging, “your device does not support this activity”, eh.. hopeless system, maximum charging up to 10W (different cables and chargers 120W), on T9 PRO there were no problems
