It did not take long for users to react to the announcement with discussions on the “Read” button functionality that had been present in the earlier version of their system software known as MIUI. This indicated that their feedback to bring back the functionality had been heard and attended to.

The formal platform of the Chinese brand had announced that it would soon introduce a “one-click read” function for SMS messages.
