Incident Details
She went missing at approximately 6:00 pm on 26th December 2024, near Licheng Electric Factory, Hongtu South Street, Xixia District, Yinchuan City. The guardian took the two “pet employees” with her to make sure they would be looked after while on a business trip in Yinchuan. This was a very sudden incident; unfortunately, Cherry didn’t have any collar, leash, dog tag, or tracker that time.
Since then, massive efforts have been mobilized by Xiaomi and Cherry’s guardian for her location. The search efforts range from manual, missing dog notice distribution to social media pushes, right down to hiring professional dog search teams. None of these measures has worked thus far in terms of returning Cherry home.
Latest Clues
Surveillance footage showed that Cherry had left the immediate area she went missing in on the night of the incident. The trail had gone cold until December 29, when local dog enthusiasts reported a sighting of a dog resembling Cherry’s description near Sanshayuan in Shengli Township, Yongning County. While her identity was confirmed through behavioral traits and appearance, there is no video evidence to support this sighting. Challenges Locating Cherry
Due to her hound lineage and running ability, Cherry is unpredictable. Therefore, she may show up in any part of the city of Yinchuan City, making it difficult to find her.
The guardian describes Cherry as docile and friendly: “She does not bark or nip at people, and is most approachable with any strangers, especially if her name is called or she’s offered food.

Cash rewards are being offered by Xiaomi and Cherry’s guardian for assistance:
- 1,000 yuan for verifiable clues, with clear photos or videos confirming Cherry’s identity and location.
- Reward of 3,000 yuan for safely housing her until she is reunited with her guardian.
