Xiaomi’s Comeback: Updates resume after small break

After a break for Chinese New Year festivities, Xiaomi resumed rolling out software updates. There have not been any new ones since January 28, but with holidays over, Xiaomi is rolling out new ones for its smartphones globally again.

HyperOS 2 Public Stable for Xiaomi 13 Series

Previously, the Xiaomi 13 series received an update with HyperOS 2 under the Mi Pilot testing campaign. Today, an update with such an update is rolling out globally in many regions. With its new version, system performance is enhanced, animations become even smoother, and battery performance is optimized, offering a general improvement in overall performance for owners of Xiaomi 13 smartphones.

Several Xiaomi tablets have begun to receive public build of HyperOS 2. With this update, multitasking, UI, and power efficiency have become even optimized, and tablets have become even powerful and convenient to use.

January 2025 Security Patch Released for Six Devices

Xiaomi has also updated six smartphones with the January 2025 security update. Security vulnerabilities and overall system security have been resolved in this update, creating a secure and safer environment for use.
