Xiaomi’s 100% charging in 18 minutes technology leaked

Xiaomi, a global leader in smartphone technology, is back with the latest research in fast charging solutions. According to DCS, one of the celebrated tech bloggers, Xiaomi has been doing research into different technologies for fast charging and, more specifically, has shown interest in the development of ultra-high capacity batteries that can combine well with ultra-fast charging speed.

The latest research reveals that Xiaomi has developed a number of fast charging solutions to meet the growing demand from users of modern smartphones. Such kind of breakthrough effectively diminishes the required time, even for large capacity batteries, helping their users to refill devices very fast and start working immediately.

Now, here is a closer look at various configurations concerning batteries and charging, sorted by IT Home:

  • 5000mAh + 120W: Fully charged in mere 18 minutes.
  • 5500mAh + 100W: Fully charges in 34 minutes.
  • 6000mAh + 120W: Fully charged in just 30 minutes.
  • 6500mAh + 100W: Fully charged in 49 minutes.
  • 7000mAh + 120W: Full in 40 minutes.
  • 7500mAh + 100W: Fully charged in 63 minutes.

These configurations show how Xiaomi aims at versatility and performance: it has one 100W charging option, while for others, it applies a wide span of battery capacities, from the most typical value of 5000mAh to an impressive maximum of 7500mAh.

Comparison to Current Models

Put these developments into perspective by comparing it with some of the existing flagship models of Xiaomi:

  • The battery of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a large capacity of 5300mAh.
  • The Xiaomi MIX FOLD 4 is fueled by a 5100mAh uniquely shaped “Jinshajiang” battery.

It was earlier reported that a new model, probably the Xiaomi 15 Pro (but it’s China only device), benchmarked a 6000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. That would be a huge upgrade, at least on paper, versus the current models in both battery capacity and charging speed.

Analyzing the Impact

These new fast-charging solutions might read larger, but in reality, they give a huge boost to practicality with large-capacity batteries in everyday life. Such developments will go a long way in offering reassurance to highly anxious users regarding cell life.

Key Benefits

  • Reduced Charging Times: During the day, users will barely lose any time at all with the ability to charge a 5000mAh battery to full in just 18 minutes.
  • Versatility: More choices in battery capacity and charging power give consumers a wider possibility to choose a phone better matching their lifestyle and usage patterns.
  • Future-Ready: This speaks of a future that Xiaomi is actually getting prepared for when fast-charging would be considered normal and not an added, high-end feature.

Although it is yet unknown which exactly models will share compatibility with these new charging solutions, the pace and direction that Xiaomi is putting into research predispose the next generation of Xiaomi smartphones to benefit greatly from these improvements.

Xiaomi is taking the exigency of multiple-battery fast charging technologies and really solving a problem area in smartphone technology. Charge times are being brought increasingly closer together while augmenting the capacity of cell batteries, really attending to one of the most nagging problems modern smartphone users face—the attack of an almost abandoned ability for fast charging.

While we look forward to more details on compatible models, it is very obvious that Xiaomi is pushing the limits further than ever about what’s possible with mobile. Stay tuned for further updates as Xiaomi remains one of the companies at the forefront of revolutionizing the smartphone industry with its innovative fast charging solutions.

The faster the charging the hotter the battery gets and the quicker it loses capacity. I leave fast charging bricks in the box and medium charge instead. It makes no difference to me if it takes 1 hour or 15 minutes, it’s just a gimmick.

Fast charging charges fast, but the battery rapidly loses capacity and this is not a joke, the batteries are really poor in performance, going from 100 to zero in under 6-7 or very normal use,
