At a strategic launch event ahead of its official debut in July 2025, Xiaomi unveiled its first all-electric SUV: the Xiaomi YU7. Designed to combine power, grace, and cutting-edge technology, the YU7 enters the mid-to-large SUV segment with an 800V high-voltage platform and a range of up to 835km (519 miles) on the CLTC cycle.
Though pricing is still unconfirmed, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun dismissed rumors of a ¥199,000 (~$27,500) starting price as “impossible,” suggesting a premium position relative to rivals like the Tesla Model Y and NIO ES6.
The YU7 follows Xiaomi’s EV debut with the Xiaomi SU7 and integrates deeply with Xiaomi’s connected ecosystem through HyperConnect.
Premium Design in Nine Striking Colors
With dimensions of 4999mm × 1996mm × 1608mm and a generous 3000mm wheelbase, the YU7 offers spacious comfort in a sleek body. Available in nine unique color options, highlights include:
- Emerald Green – Inspired by Colombian emeralds for a luxurious finish
- Titanium – Matte metallic with aluminum powder for premium understatement
- Lava Orange – Bright, bold, and youthful
Advanced exterior features include electric folding door handles with ambient lighting and UWB-powered keyless entry, allowing the vehicle to unlock and open the trunk automatically upon detecting proximity.
Next-Gen Interior Comfort & Display Innovation
The YU7’s cabin is engineered for comfort and immersion, offering:
- Zero-gravity Nappa leather seats with 10-point massage and 123° full recline
- Rear seats recline to 135°, with 73mm knee space and 77mm headroom
- A 6.68-inch rear control screen and 12-layer seat construction
- A futuristic “Skyline Screen” with three Mini LED panels, displaying vehicle status, blind spots, and media in high resolution
Enhanced driving is supported by Xiaomi’s full-stack autonomous driving system, running on the NVIDIA Thor chip (700 TOPS).
