Xiaomi YU7 Lava Orange leaked in stunning SUV design

Xiaomi’s eagerly awaited YU7 electric SUV was seen in its dynamic Lava Orange color variant for the very first time, providing stunning design details about the automaker’s automotive innovation. The latest leak gives in-depth information about Xiaomi’s new medium-to-large SUV, set to make its official entry in three different variants, namely YU7, YU7 Pro, and YU7 Max, due in July. The Xiaomi automobile division continues to grow beyond smartphone domain while the electric vehicle segment eagerly keeps a lookout for this new entrant. Industry watchers comment that Xiaomi’s entry into automobiles is a huge turning point for the technology giant’s business diversification.

Exterior Design and Colour Options

Xiaomi YU7 boasts a refined closed front design accompanied by signature silver Xiaomi logo boldly placed in front of the hood. The vehicle sports unique triangular vents located at both sides of front surround, highlighted by body-colored decorative pieces providing visual continuity to the design.

The lighting scheme makes use of advanced hollow design pieces that are installed inside air ducts and linked to the front cover. The advanced lighting configuration consists of a 180-degree ultra-wide-angle illumination capability, which offers improved visibility and safety aspects for drivers.

Dimensions and Specifications of Vehicle

Xiaomi YU7 dimensions are 4,999mm in length, 1,996mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a long 3,000mm wheelbase, placing it firmly within medium-to-large SUVs. The fastback form gives a sleek, elegant design, while at the back, it boasts unique through-type C-shaped taillights with see-through covers.

The newly introduced Lava Orange variant boasts white body decals and semi-enclosed rims in matching color trim, providing a unifying, eye-catching appearance distinct from the earlier Emerald Green and Titanium color releases.

Advanced Technology and Performance

All YU7 models are equipped with NVIDIA Thor in-vehicle computing platform providing 700TOPS computing power. The full suite of sensors consists of one laser radar, one 4D millimeter-wave radar, eleven high-definition cameras, and twelve ultrasonic radars, allowing for advanced assisted driving capabilities for all variants.

  • YU7: Single motor rear-wheel drive, 0-100 km/h in 5.88 seconds, 235kW peak power, 835km CLTC range
  • YU7 Pro: Dual-motor four-wheel drive, 0-100 km/h in 4.27 seconds, 365kW peak power, 770km CLTC range
  • YU7 Max: Dual-motor high-performance, 0-100 km/h in 3.23 seconds, 508kW peak power, 760km CLTC range

The cabin boasts zero-gravity massage seats, a panoramic Xiaomi Sky Screen display system, and high-end amenities like a in-car refrigerator and a rear control screen measuring 6.68 inches.
