What are the differences among release types?

The upgrades are being released through three channels:

1. Mi Pilot Release: Beta versions released to beta tester users who signed up with Xiaomi’s beta testing program.
2. Partial Release: Public rollout to randomly chosen users on successful Mi Pilot testing.
3. Full Release: The final phase in which the release becomes visible to all customers following the successful completion both Mi Pilot and Partial testing stages.

When will you receive the update?

If your device is on the list under the “Partial Release” category, you may be receiving the update in the near future, but it’s released haphazardly. Those with devices listed under “Full Release” should see the update roll out through regular means in the near future. Those who are on the Mi Pilot program will be receiving beta versions initially to assist in finding out any issues that may exist.

To see if your update is ready, navigate to Settings > About phone > System update in your Xiaomi smartphone.
