Xiaomi is about to launch its much-awaited Watch S4 series, as its latest wearable product has successfully passed radio approval certification with model M2425W1. This recent certification, aside from the recently approved models M2424W1 and M2427W1, will strongly suggest that these are from the same lineup and expected to be the Xiaomi Watch S4 smartwatch series.

Now, the M2424W1 variant has appeared in the IMEI database, which indicates that the new Xiaomi Watch S4 will support the eSIM technology. That would mean independent cellular connectivity, making calls and sending texts independently without being connected to a smartphone. The Watch S4 will further boot HyperOS 2.0, Xiaomi’s recently launched operating system, thus becoming among the first wearables to pack it.
