Xiaomi SU7 Ultra comes with carbon ceramic brake discs

Presently, Xiaomi has announced a press conference on October 29 at 19:00 CST to show the latest innovations; more specifically, the Xiaomi 15 series, the new Xiaomi Pengpai OS2, and the highly anticipated mass-production edition of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. This wasn’t the first announcement but surfaced after a series of teasers that drew much interest in its top-performance capabilities, such as an exceptional racing-grade carbon ceramic brake system ideal for delivering unmatched stopping power on and off the track.

Carbon-ceramic brakes of racing grade give unparalleled control.

The mass-production version of the SU7 Ultra will boast extra-large carbon ceramic brake discs, one of the defining elements for high-performance sports cars. These are the biggest discs on any sports car, measuring 430mm x 40mm at the front and 410mm x 32mm at the back, with engineering to resist very high braking forces at a maximum operating temperature of over 1300°C. Xiaomi has teamed up with Akebono for the calipers, sealing its commitment to first-class performance. The use of carbon-ceramic brakes will offer drivers greater precision and less fade, with durability at high heat, legally both on the track or on the road.

SU7 Ultra Prototype vs Mass Production: Same Core Different Purpose

As a matter of fact, mass production version Xiaomi SU7 Ultra shares core specifications and technical structure with the SU7 Ultra Prototype (PT version), Xiaomi’s track model. Both cars were based on Xiaomi Automobile’s pure electric architecture, equipped with a tri-motor setup, advanced battery technology, and a thermal management system.

While the PT version was for track use alone and could not be put into legal use on the road, the mass-production version was fitted to both high-speed track performance and legal use on the road in SU7 Ultra. That design philosophy enables Xiaomi to highlight the very same game-changing technology within both models. The prototype’s powertrain combines dual V8s with a V6 in a three-motor all-wheel-drive configuration for an astoundingly huge 1548 horsepower. Powering the car to heady speeds, this tri-motor underlines Xiaomi’s foray into high-performance EV innovation.

Groundbreaking Acceleration and High-Speed Capability

While some of the specifications for the production version of the SU7 Ultra are yet to be revealed, the track-based specifications of the prototype give an exciting teaser of what is in store. The main performance highlights of the PT variant include:

  • 0-100 km/h: 1.97 seconds
  • 0-200 km/h: 5.96 seconds
  • It goes from 0-300 km/h in 15.07 seconds.
  • Top Speed: Over 350 km/h

It will be able to boast acceleration ranked among the very cream of electric hypercars, while outranking various top-ranked gasoline supercars.

A High Efficiency Engineered for Performance Battery

The track-oriented battery pack of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was designed with a focus on continuous high power output, something necessarily required by continuous peak performance at high speed during long-running sessions. This further combined with Xiaomi’s sophisticated thermal management system to control heat gain effectively and guaranteed consistent power delivery without possible drops in performance due to overheating.

Future of Xiaomi Automobiles

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is a milestone in the electric vehicle expansion of Xiaomi into the high-performance market, forming an intention to go head-to-head with established supercar and EV brands. At an event later scheduled for October 29, it will give a closer look into the world’s view of Xiaomi’s technological prowess in creating road-ready, race-capable EVs along with its newest smartphone innovations. With the racing-grade braking system, dual-purpose function, and high-speed performance, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra shows just how ambitious Xiaomi is in terms of redefining the electric vehicle experience. This revolutionary car speaks to that vision by Xiaomi where advanced technology means only one thing: speed, style, and a whole new era for high-performance electric vehicles.
