In a recent video interview with Weibo Finance CEO Deng Qingxu, Chairman Wei Jianjun of Great Wall Motors expressed admiration for Xiaomi’s SU7 and the firm’s ecosystem, scoring more than 95 points out of 100. So, this video interview was officially circulated by Great Wall Motors, stating an attitude manifested by Chairman Wei Jianjun with willingness to learn from or promote Xiaomi.
High Praise for Xiaomi SU7
When Deng Qingxu asked Wei Jianjun, Lei Jun of Xiaomi, about evaluating the car, he said, “I think a car produced within three years at most deserves more than 95 points.” Praising the Xiaomi SU7’s excellence in workmanship and muscular nature of their ecosystem.
He shared an example of exchanging cars with Lei Jun, where he returned a Great Wall Tank 700 in exchange for a Xiaomi SU7. He expressed praise for the NVH of the SU7, its smoothness, and road feel, calling it a “very comprehensive and well-balanced product” from which Great Wall Motors could learn.

Great Wall Motors’ chairperson said that Lei Jun had visited them two times over the past three years to learn and exchange ideas. Willing to learn from Xiaomi, he gladly said, “He asked me to hold a press conference; can you come? I am very happy. I will learn here also.” That Wei Jianjun is open to learning from or collaborating with Xiaomi shows the possible future cooperation of these two companies. His high rating and praise for the Xiaomi SU7 and the company’s ecosystem reflect deep respect toward what Xiaomi has achieved in the development of the automotive sector.
