Xiaomi is pushing the boundaries of the “Human x Car x Home” ecosystem once again. Ahead of the official launch on March 19, 2026, CEO Lei Jun has revealed a massive intelligence upgrade for the new generation Xiaomi SU7. The refreshed lineup will arrive with the all-new XLA cognitive model, bridging the gap between automotive smart driving and robotics.
Launched exclusively for the Chinese market, the new SU7 series starts at a pre-sale price of approximately $33,320 (229,900 RMB) for the Standard edition, reaching up to $44,910 (309,900 RMB) for the high-performance Max variant.
The Brain Upgrade: XLA Cognitive Model & MiMo-Embodied AI
The highlight of the 2026 SU7 is the transition to the XLA cognitive model within the Xiaomi HAD (Hyper Automated Driving) system. This isn’t just a software patch; it’s a technical milestone that integrates Xiaomi’s self-developed MiMo-Embodied base model.
For the first time, Xiaomi has unified the logic of “assisted driving” and “embodied robots.” By introducing multi-modal inputs, the system can reason through complex urban scenes with anthropomorphic logic.
This makes vehicle decisions—such as merging in heavy traffic or navigating intersections—feel more natural, controllable, and secure. To power this, the entire series now comes standard with a staggering 700 TOPS of computing power and LiDAR, ensuring every model from the base to the Max has flagship-level perception.
Unified High-Voltage Architecture and V6s Plus Power
Xiaomi has completely overhauled the powertrain for the 2026 refresh. The aging 400V architecture is officially retired, replaced by a standard Silicon Carbide high-voltage platform across the range:
-
Standard & Pro Versions: Equipped with a 752V architecture.
-
Max Version: Features a near-900V (897V) architecture.
This hardware shift allows for industry-leading charging efficiency. All models now support a 10% to 80% charge in 12 minutes or less. Performance-wise, the V6s Plus super motor is now standard, delivering 320 hp in the base model and a blistering 690 hp in the Max version.
New Generation SU7 Models
The new generation SU7 simplifies the lineup while maximizing standard safety and performance hardware:
| Feature | SU7 Standard | SU7 Pro | SU7 Max |
| Computing Power | 700 TOPS + LiDAR | 700 TOPS + LiDAR | 700 TOPS + LiDAR |
| CLTC Range | 720 km | 902 km | 835 km |
| Platform | 752V Silicon Carbide | 752V Silicon Carbide | 897V High-Voltage |
| Motor | V6s Plus (320 hp) | V6s Plus (320 hp) | V6s Plus Dual (690 hp) |
| Safety | 9 Airbags / 2200MPa Steel | 9 Airbags / 2200MPa Steel | 9 Airbags / 2200MPa Steel |
Safety and Interior Refinements
Beyond the “brains,” the “body” of the SU7 has been reinforced with a 2200MPa Xiaomi super steel roll cage and a 1500MPa protective beam for the battery pack. Inside, the cabin receives the Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0 treatment, featuring a “triple-redundant” door handle design for emergency physical opening and upgraded silent double-layer laminated glass.
