Blogger “Digital Chat Station” today announced the arrival of a mysterious e-sports tablet in development for an undisclosed brand using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 series chips. The immediate speculation in the media was centred on Xiaomi, where people anticipate this to be a new product from Redmi, probably with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.
This would be a major step forward from the Xiaomi Redmi Pad Pro, which is fitted with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. The new tablet is teased that it will take things up a notch in performance, probably outpacing larger-form tablets on the market, with the Redmi Pad Pro presently offering a 12.1-inch 2.5K+120Hz display and up to 12GB RAM.
Indeed, back in August, Wang Teng himself, who is Xiaomi China Marketing Department Vice General Manager and at the same time the General Manager of the Redmi brand, hinted that the company is working on a high-demand product. With such premises, many have been believing that Xiaomi’s projected offering is a compact yet powerful gaming tablet designed for e-sports performance.
While this is pretty much still in the preliminaries and many of the official details remain under wraps, this is enough to send Xiaomi’s fans into overdrive at the possibility of a strong gaming tablet, specifically for those who enjoy games on their mobile devices. Definitely the next gadget to have? Wait for more official announcements!
