Xiaomi rolls out weekly HyperOS bug fixes – April 7 Update

Xiaomi has issued its most recent HyperOS bug report, revealing a number of important issues on popular models throughout the line. Because HyperOS continues to become increasingly important as Xiaomi’s flagship operating system, those who use certain models such as the Xiaomi 12 Pro as well as the new Redmi Note series may see functionality issues that can affect daily use. The company’s engineering team is currently working on these issues with upcoming updates on the roadmap.

Present Critical Issues Identified

Xiaomi’s most recent bug report lists two issues of primary concern that are given highest priority:

  • Bluetooth Watch Connection Failure: Xiaomi 12 Pro as well as Xiaomi 12 users on OS2.0.2.0.VLBEUXM as well as OS2.0.2.0.VLCEUXM versions are facing a failure to connect to watches and wearables via Bluetooth. Xiaomi has assured a fix is on the way, with the update to be rolled out on April 10 through an OTA update.
  • Speed of Charging Deterioration: Redmi Note 12S devices running OS2.0.2.0.VHZMIXM are experiencing far slower charging speeds, with the quick charging feature not even turning on. This issue is currently under technical investigation, with no estimated fix time mentioned yet.

These are the issues that highlight the continuous fine-tuning process of HyperOS, which is Xiaomi’s most ambitious recent software redesign.

Future Fixes for Further Issues

The development team has also acknowledged a number of other bugs on different devices that will be corrected in upcoming updates:

  • Control center button functionality issues on POCO X7 Pro App store compatibility problems hindering Taobao downloads on Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
  • Random system freezes on several devices including Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
  • Sudden reboots on Redmi Note 12S as well as on Redmi Pad SE 8.7 Stability problems with the bluetooth connection on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra flagship Recorder app not functioning on Redmi Note 14

“We are dedicated to resolving all these problems as soon as possible to provide users with the smooth experience they are used to on Xiaomi products,” a HyperOS development team representative explained.

What users need to do

If you are facing any of these problems, Xiaomi advises:

  • Having your smartphone updated with the most recent available iteration
  • Informing bugs through the feedback app so that fixes can be given priority
  • Using official Xiaomi channels for updates on upcoming releases

For users of affected Xiaomi 12 series models, putting April 10 on your calendar as the date for the promised update will be essential in restoring normal functionality with their Bluetooth wearables.
