Emir BardakçıXiaomi is continuing its dedication to security for its devices with the deployment of the April 2025 patch for HyperOS. The patch settles several critical issues and improves the stability of the system on several different device families. The patch is being rolled out in stages to Redmi, POCO, and flagship Xiaomi phones so users can enjoy the most recent security from new threats as soon as possible. This security patch is released only weeks after the substantial HyperOS 2.0 feature patch that introduced several improvements for the Xiaomi ecosystem, including better performance and UI enhancements.

Major Security Enhancements
The April 2025 security patch includes a number of key fixes:

How to Update Your Device
To verify whether the update is available for your device:
- Click on Settings
- Touch on About phone
- Choose System update
- Click on “Check for updates
- If it is available, download and install the security patch
Keep in mind that the patch is released in batches, so some devices will get the patch after others. The company generally finishes the rollout within 2-3 weeks.

I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus and I am still on HyperOS 1.10 and I have no update.
I understand it guys.. But example I have a redmi note 12 pro 5g, and still have the febeuary patch ✌️
I don’t see Xiaomi dedication towards it’s client’s! e.g my device is Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G global and my device is still on January 25 security patch i.e 3 months late in which case my device will be vulnerable to viruses.
Security patches will not be effective unless it’s received on time.
I wish you reconsider your policy towards the distribution of Security patches.

Xiaomi should ideally release device and vendor trees. AOSP is an open source project. All derivatives of Open Source projects need to have sources published as per relevant Open Source licences. Then consumers need not be dependent on this company for their updates.What Xiaomi is doing now is issuing person-centric updates to people-of-interest. This is akin to spying, and Chinese companies are good at it.

Hello, I have a Redmi Note 14 4G phone. Since Hyper 2 upgraded to 15, the battery charge drains very quickly. No widget or anything else has been added. Last night, my brother’s phone is a Samsung A34, which is very cool and has Android 14. I’m not saying Xiaomi is bad, but its processing quality, graphics, everything was excellent. I am using the redmi 13 5g and I don’t have the hyperos 2.0 update, neither do I have the security patch. Updates for earlier phone models have been released so why hasn’t an update for a model that was released last year be unavailable. it’s frustrating.

When will Hyperos 2 arrive on the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G? In the European ROM? It’s a shame that most devices are already moving to version 2.2 and we are still on 1.6. The phone is not that old, it has only been on the market for 2 years 🙁
my 13T pro hasn’t received a patch since December 2024. when is the next one? company pushing it out of compliance and I’ll be forced to use another device
