Xiaomi has taken mobile photography to new heights of artistry with the launch of “Xiaomi Master Experience” a unique multi-day immersive photography experience that delves into the richness of human emotions through the eyes of the Xiaomi 15 Series. This innovative program combines world-renowned photographers and creative visionaries to document genuine human stories with Xiaomi’s latest flagship phones co-engineered with Leica. This initiative marks a major growth of Xiaomi’s photography empire and reiterates the brand’s aim to push the limits of mobile imaging technology with a focus on emotive storytelling rather than technical excellence.
A New Vision for Mobile Photography
As we move deeper into 2025, Xiaomi is leading the way with a philosophy that puts emotional resonance and authenticity at the forefront of photography. Jia Wei, Xiaomi Western Europe’s Head of Marketing, summed up this vision concisely in the following way: “At Xiaomi, mobile photography is an art form where innovation meets emotion where we pair the industry-leading technology of Xiaomi 15 Series with genuine human storytelling.”
The program is based on the three main pillars of human storytelling that include successes, passions, and challenges. This method provides a model that allows photographers to capture the entire range of the human experience with their Xiaomi smartphones.
The Three Pillars of Master Experience
The Xiaomi Master Experience experience is a sequence of three immersive events
- Recording Human Victory – The campaign was started at the Zurich Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series in Madrid, where photographers from around the world captured the determination and passion of marathon runners with Xiaomi 15 Series phones.
- Humanity: Taste of Emotions – This groundbreaking show combined photography and cuisine so that visitors could experience through sight and taste the same range of human emotions. There were three installations representing euphoria, surprise, and love, each of which was complemented by a series of photographs and dishes that elicited the same feeling.
- Humanity: Emotions in Focus – The culmination featured renowned photographers such as multiple World Press Photo award winner Jonas Bendiksen and Claudia Revidat from PhotoVogue.
These visual storytellers described their views of humanity and shared their images taken with Xiaomi devices. The use of such notable photographers such as Bendiksen speaks volumes about the credibility of Xiaomi’s photography skills. “Photography is a means of discovering the world – a reason to pursue my curiosity wherever it may take me,” Bendiksen commented at the event, emphasizing the convergence of his own philosophy and Xiaomi’s vision
Expanding Photography to the World
Aside from the Master Experience program, Xiaomi has also introduced two other photography projects in 2025:
- Xiaomi Master Cross-talk – An initiative where high-profile photographers engage in a dialogue
- Xiaomi Creators Tour – A photography-themed program providing photography enthusiasts a chance to build authentic international stories
These offerings complement Xiaomi’s existing Xiaomi Master Class series and Creators programme to create a complete ecosystem for cultivating photography skills at every level of experience.
