Xiaomi is rolling out a complimentary testing and repair service for devices affected by recent heavy rainfall in select regions of China. The initiative underscores Xiaomi’s commitment to customer care, particularly during adverse weather events. The free program extends to a wide range of products, including smartphones, tablets, home appliances, and various smart devices, exclusively for users in areas officially impacted by the storms.
Program Scope and Eligibility
This service is available only in designated districts and counties—such as Beijing’s Miyun District and several areas within Hebei Province. Customers residing in these locations can bring eligible devices for inspection and repair, or opt for mail-in service.
Supported Devices
- Smartphones & Tablets: Full inspection and comprehensive water damage repair.
- Laptops: Professional cleaning and component replacement as needed.
- Wearables: Moisture removal and functionality restoration for smart bracelets and watches.
- Audio & Visual Devices: Specialized cleaning and repairs for headphones and smart glasses.
For household appliances:
- Major Appliances (Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Washing Machines, TVs): Door-to-door service is provided.
- Other Home Appliances: Options include in-store, at-home, or mail-in service.
Service Experience
In addition to complimentary repairs and cleaning, customers visiting Xiaomi service centers receive free Wi-Fi, device charging, and light refreshments while they wait.
