Xiaomi now trains racing pilots: Get your license in an SU7

Xiaomi is once again blurring the lines between technology and lifestyle, shifting gears from simply creating powerful electric vehicles to training the next generation of drivers. The company has just officially announced the Xiaomi Elite Driving and Racing License Training Program, an exclusive new venture for dedicated fans. This incredible opportunity isn’t just about learning; it’s about experiencing the raw power of the Xiaomi SU7 on a professional circuit and walking away with a certified racing license. This move solidifies Xiaomi Auto’s commitment to the performance car world, offering a truly unique experience that goes far beyond the dealership. This initiative, powered by the spirit of innovation found in Xiaomi HyperOS, is set to create an even stronger bond with its community.

What Does the Elite Program Include?

This isn’t your average driving school. The program is an intense, three-day course held from October 17th to 19th at the prestigious Tianjin V1 International Circuit, an FIA-certified international Grade-2 professional racetrack in China. Under the guidance of professional instructors, participants will undergo more than five hours of individual practical lessons and systematic track courses. The ultimate goal is to equip them with the skills needed to earn an official “China Automobile Federation National Class B Racing License.”

Exclusive Perks for the Xiaomi Faithful

Xiaomi is rolling out the red carpet for the 16 lucky owners who secure a spot. The program is packed with exclusive benefits designed to make this a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

  • Xiaomi SU7 Track Experience: A special course dedicated to pushing the SU7 to its limits on an FIA-certified track.
  • Professional Racing Gear: Participants will receive a free set of FIA-certified equipment, including professional racing gloves, a fireproof mask, and racing shoes, valued at over 2,000 yuan (approx. $275 USD).
  • Memories to Keep: The experience includes professional photos in full race uniform to capture the thrilling moments.
  • Welcome Dinner: A high-standard welcome dinner featuring some of Xiaomi’s most popular and sought-after products as gifts.

How to Register and What It Costs

Registration for the inaugural October session opens on October 10th at 10:00 AM exclusively through the Xiaomi Auto App. This program is currently only available in China and is priced at 12,999 yuan (approximately $1,800 USD). Aspiring racers will need to have their ID card, C1 driver’s license, a one-inch photo, and their blood type information ready to apply for one of the highly limited 16 seats.
