Xiaomi officially released the Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop 5 in China with an extremely thin 7.9 cm body, 23,000 Pa high suction, and advanced AI obstacle recognition. The device starts at CNY 2,679 (≈ USD 370) for the standard version and CNY 3,129 (≈ USD 432) for the embedded water supply and drainage model. The new model is already available on JD.com, continuing Xiaomi’s tradition of integrating smart home technology within the Mijia ecosystem and Xiaomi HyperConnect platforms.
Smarter navigation with AI-powered obstacle avoidance
Unlike common robot vacuums with a bulging LiDAR module, Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop 5 owns a sunken high-precision multi-dimensional perception system, which removes the “small hat” design and creates a more aerodynamic shape. Its front-mounted obstacle avoidance camera and self-developed AI navigation algorithm are able to sense and evade up to 130 common obstacles, like cables, socks, slippers, and even weighing scales. This offers a smoother and more intuitive cleaning trail, ideal for modern homes with changing floor plans.
23,000 Pa suction with new hair-cutting brush design
The Mijia Robot Vacuum Mop 5 is equipped with Xiaomi’s most powerful suction system yet, dubbed “whale-swallowing suction.” With 23,000 Pa fan pressure, it efficiently removes fine dust, pet hair, and larger debris. The device also features the new Mijia Innovation double-blade hair-cutting main brush, designed to minimize hair tangling for easier maintenance and extended performance life.
Bionic mopping system and 3-level water control
Xiaomi engineers have included a bionic pressurized constant-humidity mopping system that imitates the action and uniformity of manual mopping. The independent water tank of the unit can facilitate three levels of water control, enabling customization of the level according to various surfaces—whether for fine wooden floors or heavy-duty tile cleaning.
Connectivity without seams through Xiaomi HyperConnect
Fully supported by the Mijia App, the user can schedule remotely a cleaning session, define off-limits areas, or activate the vacuum at a distance. The vacuum is also supported by other Xiaomi smart home devices such as air purifiers, humidifiers, and smart door locks, where automated cleaning sessions are made possible using Xiaomi HyperConnect. For even more ecosystem access, users can update the Mijia App via HyperOSUpdates.com or download the MemeOS Enhancer app via Google Play to gain access to hidden Xiaomi features.
