The crowdfunding for Mijia Latex Jute Spine Protection Mattress has gone live on Xiaomi Youpin, and the mattress is high-end, intended for people with spinal problems. It comes in three sizes-1.2-meter, 1.5-meter, and 1.8-meter beds and is priced at 1,399 yuan (196 USD), 1,599 yuan (224 USD), and 1,799 yuan (252 USD), respectively. The combed S-shaped jute used in addition to high-elastic latex grants this mattress the ability to heal and maintain the natural alignment of your spine. In this case, it rests in a naturally stretched position, meaning that it promotes proper sleeping posture.
It is 23cm thick and consists of a skin-friendly antibacterial surface layer, a physical anti-mite inner cover, Thai natural latex, S-shaped jute from Bengal, all on independent pocket springs designed for the protection of the spine.
The jute used in the mattress is processed through high-temperature hot pressing at 180℃, forming a naturally curved S-shaped structure. This heat treatment removes sugar from and sterilizes the material; it most importantly makes it resistant to mold. The 1.9mm large-diameter independent pocket springs are engineered to conform to natural body curves, thus providing support to each portion of the spine individually. Each spring is individually wrapped in non-woven fabric for extra durability.
This natural latex, imported directly from Thailand, is manufactured through the Italian Sekt process, with open pores in a honeycomb-like structure that guarantees better ventilation and support.
