Confirming our previous exclusive leaks here at XiaomiTime, the highly anticipated overseas Leica edition of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra—officially dubbed the “LEITZPHONE”—has finally appeared in the wild. Recent images showcase a stunning champagne gold frame and a major design shift: the prominent Xiaomi logo has been removed to let the iconic Leica branding take center stage.
A New Aesthetic for the European Market
Recent real-world photos shared by tech source Frank on the X platform confirm exactly what we at XiaomiTime reported earlier: the overseas “LEITZPHONE” completely revamps the domestic Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s aesthetic.
The most noticeable change is the branding. Xiaomi has deliberately stepped back; the traditional Xiaomi logo has been removed from its standard left-aligned position. Instead, the iconic Leica logo is placed vertically, dominating the device’s visual identity. The remaining Xiaomi text has been minimized and centered vertically at the bottom.
Classic Camera Design and Champagne Accents
The hardware design mimics classic German rangefinders, featuring an elegant color palette, exclusive engravings, and custom watermarks that highlight the Leica partnership.
The physical build of the LEITZPHONE differs significantly from the standard 17 Ultra to appeal directly to camera purists. The back cover utilizes a darker, deeper black material that contrasts sharply with a new champagne gold frame, designed to seamlessly match the massive rear camera lens group.
To further emphasize its optical roots, the left side of the frame features a custom “LEICA CAMERA GERMANY” engraving. Additionally, leaked camera samples show that the device applies a brand-new custom watermark reading “LEITZPHONE powered by Xiaomi,” firmly cementing the shift toward a Leica-first brand identity for the overseas market.
