This new outdoor security camera completely eliminates the need for Wi-Fi and includes a data plan that is basically free and cannot be beat.
This new outdoor camera was released in China and includes the following features:

The “Free Data” Revolution?
One of the most impressive features of this new release is the connectivity. This new Xiaomi camera includes dual 4G SIM cards that are built right into the device. You cannot replace these SIM cards, but you may not even want to. The device, according to Xiaomi, automatically connects to the strongest network signal, and most importantly, it comes with a free, unlimited data plan. This means users can stream video in high definition through the Mi Home App without having to worry about data charges or a monthly subscription fee.
Note: The “unlimited data” only applies to using the camera with the Mi Home App in China. The camera cannot be used as a hotspot for other devices.
Dual Lenses and 3K Clarity
The camera, on the other hand, is not just a 4G router with a camera lens attached. This camera, being a security camera, comes with a dual camera lens with two 5-megapixel cameras with a bright f/1.6 aperture. This allows for a “Telephoto + Short-range” zoom, meaning it can take a wide shot while zooming in on details without losing any of those details. The 3K ultra-high-definition resolution allows users to see license plates and faces clearly, while intelligent full-color night vision allows for clear vision even in pitch black darkness.
Smart Features and Durability
The camera also comes with a range of smart features, including seamless integration with the Xiaomi HyperConnect ecosystem, implied through the smart pairing features. The camera also comes with AI Recognition of humans and cars, Active Defense with sound and light alarms, Two-Way Voice for communication with delivery personnel or trespassers, and an IP66 Rating with full protection against dust and powerful water jets, meaning users do not have to worry about using it in bad weather.
Mandatory Update for Connectivity
In order to connect this device with a 4G signal, users need to ensure they are using the latest app. Users can update this application via our secondary project, HyperOSUpdates.com, or via our MemeOS Enhancer application, which can be downloaded from the Play Store. By installing the MemeOS application, users can also unlock hidden Xiaomi features, update system apps, and enjoy access to the latest updates.
Pricing & Availability
The Xiaomi Smart Outdoor Camera 4 4G Dual-Camera Edition is Launched in China only. Crowdfunding starts next Wednesday at a price of 379 CNY (approximately $53 USD).
While Xiaomi often launches its security devices in the global market, as it often drops its Chinese ISP partnerships, there is no news on its global launch. If it does, it’s likely to support local 4G bands or feature a nano-SIM slot.
