Xiaomi HyperVision: The In-Car Visual Experience of the Future

Xiaomi Motors has pushed automotive technology to new boundaries during the official release of its revolutionary “Xiaomi Sky Screen Panoramic Display” branded as Xiaomi HyperVision. The new technology is the latest example of how much further the company can innovate automotive user experience, providing what Xiaomi calls “an increasingly intuitive visual interaction system.” The novel screen seamlessly integrates into Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system, providing users with homogeneous experience throughout all Xiaomi devices. The rollout comes after Xiaomi aggressively ventured into the field of the automotive market in the past year, further showcasing the company’s drive for innovating in the field of smart transport.

A Game Changer in Dashboard Design

The recently unveiled promo clip features the Xiaomi HyperVision in what is seemingly the new YU7 model. The system consists of an extended strip screen supremely installed along the front windshield’s bottom edge. The design that positions it in such an area maintains vital information in the driver’s field of vision and does not obstruct road visibility, providing both convenience and safety.

As compared to traditional dashboard displays, the Xiaomi HyperVision provides an immersive visual experience that fills the entire width of the windshield. The system should support:

  • Real-time navigation with augmented reality overlays
  • Vehicle status monitoring such as speed and battery life
  • Media playback controls and information
  • Integration and control of smart home devices

YU7: Blending Luxury and Innovation

Xiaomi YU7, equipped with the latest display technology, is generating hype as the company prepares for its official launch. As a high-end high-performance SUV, the YU7 boasts the same unique design language as its sibling, the SU7.

Leaked interior spy shots in April showed the YU7 has the same overall look as the Xiaomi SU7, but with some significant improvements:

  • The steering wheel design is similar in style to the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
  • Dashboard data (gear position, battery life, speed, navigation, and entertainment) is presented in an intuitive left-to-right design
  • All the air conditioning vents for the driver and passenger are adorned with fashionable RGB light strips
  • Physical buttons have been removed from the center control panel
  • Cup holders have been moved into the center console for better ergonomics

Emerald Green: The Latest Color Choice

Apart from the technological upgrades, Xiaomi adds a new vibrant color variant for the YU7 named “Emerald Green.” It comes in the form of a high-end finish that applies an advanced two-step painting process and takes its inspiration from the clear, bright color of the emeralds native to Colombia.

Xiaomi founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun has personally promoted the new model, saying: “YU7 has an irreplaceable unique charm.” It highlights the importance of the new vehicle in the expansion of Xiaomi in the automotive segment.

Improved User Experience through HyperOS

Xiaomi car users will be able to derive benefit from seamless compatibility with the company’s wider ecosystem. Users will be able to update the software in their vehicle by downloading the latest updates via the HyperOSUpdates.com website or the MemeOS Enhancer app on the Play Store. The latter has the extra advantages of providing access to concealed Xiaomi features, system app installations, and handy screen update capabilities.

With its ongoing expansion in the automotive field, the HyperVision display system is an unmistakable declaration of Xiaomi’s vision for the transportationscape of the future – where technology and design intersect to form experiences that are both practical and pleasurable.
