Xiaomi HyperOS Launcher September 2024 update released

Xiaomi has released the September 2024 update of the HyperOS Launcher that pushes the beta version under the Beta program with the version number RELEASE-4.39.36.8735-09022119. The update comes weeks after the previous beta introducing a new layout and redesigned settings menu, this update brings more improvements and bug fixes along with minor changes to the layout.

What’s New in Beta 3?

The recent update is more about fixing existing issues and bringing in new features to enhance user experience. Here is the changelog in detail:

• Fixed folder issue: Users will no longer experience problems with the folders at times failing to close.
• Wordless Mode Support: The drawer will now support the wordless mode, providing a more minimalistic look.
• Bug Fixes: A number of bugs were fixed and it have further improved stability and performance of Launcher.

Key New Features

• Large Folder Opening Animation: Added animation for large folders to make UI more fluid and dynamic.
• Drawer Tab Font Size Increase: Increased font size on top of drawer bar for improved readability.
• MIUIX v3 UI Library: Launcher now uses the MIUIX v3 UI library, which should improve UI consistency across the system.
• Optimized Folder Logics: If a folder contains only one application, it will automatically remove itself, thus simplifying folder management.
• Rename Folder: This will allow the user to rename folders inside any other folder through long press.
• Layout Adjustments
  • 4×6 layout including search Box.
  • 4×7 layout – no search box.
  • 5×8 layout with search box.
  • 5×9 layout without a search box.

These adjustments aim to optimize screen space while providing users with layout options that best suit their needs.
