The rollout of Xiaomi HyperOS 3 marks a notable milestone for the brand, and the market is eager to see how it measures up against the previous HyperOS 2. With distinct design upgrades, enhanced animations, and substantial performance tweaks, HyperOS 3 aims to deliver a more refined user experience across Xiaomi’s device portfolio. For those interested in early adoption or monitoring releases, our HyperOS updates section and the MemeOS Enhancer app remain valuable tools, streamlining updates and unlocking additional functionality. The new OS draws inspiration from iOS in aesthetics, while preserving Android’s adaptability—positioning Xiaomi to better compete with leading mobile operating systems.
Lockscreen Customization
A key visual update is the lockscreen clock. HyperOS 3 introduces a sleek, contemporary clock design, coupled with a more intuitive customization process. This represents a step forward from HyperOS 2’s more basic approach, enhancing both appearance and user control.
Lockscreen Layout
Xiaomi has opted to retain the core lockscreen layout, ensuring continuity for users. However, the platform now offers an expanded selection of themes and styles, reflecting a commitment to personalization without sacrificing familiarity.
Dynamic Island-Style Notifications
Building on industry trends, Xiaomi has implemented its own version of Dynamic Island. Notifications and alerts now appear near the punch-hole camera, creating a more seamless multitasking experience reminiscent of Apple’s design—yet tailored for HyperOS.
Refined Settings Interface
Within the Settings menu, users will notice updated icons and improved spacing. These subtle enhancements contribute to a more navigable, premium-feeling interface, signaling Xiaomi’s attention to detail.
Redesigned Phone App
The Phone app benefits from a significant UI overhaul. The new in-call interface features larger buttons and clearer labels, drawing inspiration from iOS to make call management more straightforward and visually appealing.
Launcher Enhancements
Select launcher buttons now feature a “liquid glass” effect, introducing a sophisticated, modern touch to the user interface. This addition supports Xiaomi’s push for a more engaging and visually distinctive experience.
Control Center Updates
The Control Center has received updated toggle icons and a redesigned status bar. New battery and signal indicators mirror iOS aesthetics, promoting a consistent and unified system appearance.
