Xiaomi HyperOS 3 Release Date: When Will It Be Released?
The public beta for HyperOS 3.1 officially released in China on January 22, 2026. Based on Xiaomi’s typical release cadence, we expect the stable Chinese release to in February 2026.
For Global users, Xiaomi has already started internal testing of HyperOS 3.1 Global builds. While there is no public date yet, the fact that internal testing is running parallel to the China beta suggests a much faster rollout than previous years.

Which devices will get the HyperOS 3.1 update?
The rule of thumb for HyperOS 3.1 is simple: If your device is eligible for Android 16, it is eligible for HyperOS 3.1. Since this update is tied strictly to the Android 16 codebase, older devices stuck on Android 15 will remain on HyperOS 3.

When Can You Expect This Update?
As per our sources, the availability of Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1 is expected to kick-start in China in the month of February. If you are currently using a device that will not be getting the update to Android 16, the above mentioned updates will not be available to you.

I have a Redmi Note 12 Prop Plus 5G and I’m very satisfied with it. I think it’s better than newer generations. Unfortunately, I understand that my cell phone will not be updated as I would like. They force the customer to buy new units very often, something that didn’t happen with my Samsung units. Would I then have to consider a return to Samsung?

I have given up waiting for HyperOS 3. Xiaomi is really messing me around. First, it was November 25 for me, then December 25, then April 26, and now again February 26. The ones you can download here are not recognized by the phone. I am still stuck with HyperOS 2.0.205.0 Android 15.
They should give hyper-os launcher to all the offices globally so that all phones receives updates faster, but as well as should provide faster stability in that too so our user experience don’t sacrifice.

These updates, this and that, are interesting. I have a Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G phone and I am still on version 2.0.206.0 update. Another update was supposed to come by the end of January, but now they promise it by February 18… maybe it will come. Although I don’t understand why the service provider Telekom is hesitating with it.
