I’m a Poco X6 Pro user. My experience with HyperOS 2 is quite disappointing. The only tangible difference between HyperOS 1 & 2 are the upgraded and smooth animations, beyond that nothing the HyperOS 2 offers makes any difference to me as an end-user.
I am particularly disappointed as the gallery applications now lacks features that were previously available. There are Zero AI features in my Poco X6 Pro global… the hype for the HyperOS 2 was for nothing. My phone’s Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC is capable of on device AI features but Xiaomi didn’t make use of its built-in capabilities even let alone offer cloud based AI features.
I have been a Poco user since 2018 with 4 Xiaomi phones in my household, but it turns out that if you don’t have the absolute top of the line Xiaomi phone, then Xiaomi/Poco will not care about your user experience. What they offer is only the hype, no tangible quality features. The features are only reserved for only a few users who pay top bucks for their top of the line phones.

Funny enough, the hyperos downloader app has long since qualified this device to receive the update to hyper 2.0 based on android 15.
The funny thing is, it now appears that it qualifies for hyperos 3.0, but does not update to 2.0 yet.
Xiaomi’s update system is pretty bad, it leaves a lot to be desired.

After HyperOs 2.0 update my batery is depleating very fast. Fully charged phone at 11pm and lwft intact until 7am next morning, turned off wifi and mobile data. the battery was down 25% just sitting around. this needs to be fixed. i am on xiaomi 13T pro.

I updated using a different method, I changed the region in the time settings to the closest one with an available update and it worked. The only thing is that I have to manually update some applications.

Why does Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro 13 not even have HyperOs 2.0. Now they come with this bull$it. I am like beyond fed up for waiting. I log a call you know what Xiaomi global customer care said “it depends on the servre”. No shit but get you in-house sorted out before rollout out updates. Redmi 13 range in general was said to have gotten the HyperOS 2.0 stared in Nov 2024. Don’t believe that comes out the company’s mouth. It will just get you pissed off

Very disappointed…
1. HyperOS 2 only allows 4 x 7 Grid for homescreen. Too small for people 50 years of age and older. In the past there was the 4 x 6 grid… No more… People older than 50 must move to other brand.
2. Dual apps is gone.. not working. Had asked for help from official service center. Nothing can be done.
3. Provide option NOT to upgrade. or revert to version 1… I need that badly.
