Xiaomi fixes four major bugs in latest HyperOS Updates

Xiaomi has finally confirmed that some of the most serious issues affecting flagship and mid-rangers will be fixed in the next HyperOS update. According to the company’s latest Weekly Bug Report, devices such as the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and Redmi Note 14 5G will receive targeted optimizations to fix top performance and stability issues.

Description of the Fixes

The paper covers four core issues which were identified in recent user feedback and internal testing. Xiaomi has officially declared that the listed below bugs are now being looked into and will be resolved through future OTA releases:

Camera Freeze (Xiaomi 14 Ultra): Users reported that the camera app occasionally froze during long sessions or when switching modes. Xiaomi’s imaging team has identified a software-level synchronization issue and confirmed that a patch is ready for rollout.
Call Audio Problems (Redmi Note 14 5G): Some users experienced scenarios where they could not hear the caller’s voice during calls. The issue has been traced to the VoLTE module and will be addressed in the upcoming firmware update.
Random Device Shutdown (Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi Pad 7, Xiaomi 14T Pro): A patch is in progress for a glitch causing devices to randomly shut down due to memory management errors. The patch has already passed internal QA testing.
Unstable Reception of the Signal (Xiaomi 15T): Network technicians confirmed that low 5G transitions in certain regions caused the signal to be lost for a short period. The modem driver update is being included in the next HyperOS package.

When to Expect the Update

These fixes are part of Xiaomi’s ongoing effort to enhance HyperOS performance consistency across its device ecosystem. The OTA updates containing these improvements will be rolled out gradually, starting with Chinese variants before reaching global users.
