Emir BardakçıAll eyes in the Xiaomi Mi fans are turning towards Barcelona for the MWC 2026 (Mobile World Congress). According to latest report, the world’s biggest mobile technology show is officially scheduled for March 2 – March 5, 2026, with press days kicking off on February 28.
This timing presents the perfect opportunity for Xiaomi to unveil the highly anticipated HyperOS 3.1 Global version alongside with global launch of Xiaomi 17 series.
Why MWC 2026? The “iOS Bridge” Features
HyperOS 3.1 is shaping up to be more than just a standard interim update; it reportedly breaks down the walls between Android and iOS. There is no better stage than MWC for Xiaomi to demonstrate this “Apple Ecosystem” integration to the global press.
Key features expected to be demoed include:

iOS Call Notification Forwarding: Incoming calls on an iPhone appearing on Xiaomi tablets or PCs.

AirPods Support: Full compatibility for Apple headphones (battery display, control settings, etc.) on Xiaomi devices.

Chinese New Year & Timing
Currently, development processes at Xiaomi are on pause due to the Chinese New Year (Spring Festival).

Xiaomi Calendar: According to Xiaomi official bug report group suggests the company is on holiday until February 23.

Official Holiday: In some pages from Xiaomi, the holiday extends up to March 3.
However, the return to work (late February) aligns perfectly with the start of MWC 2026 (Feb 28 – March 2).
Expectation: A Global Beta Surprise
The first order of business for Xiaomi engineers returning from the holiday could be preparing a release-ready beta build for the MWC showcase. In this scenario, it is highly probable that the HyperOS 3.1 Global Beta process will officially kick off during or immediately after the expo, likely alongside the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 series.
Currently, there are numerous internal beta versions of Xiaomi HyperOS 3.1. Few internal beta versions at the level to be released for the Xiaomi 17 series is available.
