Xiaomi executive refutes “fake” render of Xiaomi 15 camera design

Well, on October 6, a render which was claimed to be of the next Xiaomi smartphone and believed to be none other than the Xiaomi 15, surfaced online. No sooner had the image showing a Leica-branded camera module gone viral. But it is when Wang Teng, Xiaomi China’s Deputy General Manager of Marketing and General Manager – Redmi brand, openly refuted the render, saying that it’s “fake.”

Denied Render by Xiaomi Executive

The render in question showed a rear camera with a large Leica branding, which stirred speculations about the design of the Xiaomi 15 and whether it would continue with the iconic camera brand. Wang Teng quickly killed the buzz through social media, though, calling the image far from the actual design of the upcoming Xiaomi 15 phone.

Although the render proved to be fake, the official information about the Xiaomi 15 series is still flowing in. According to the certification, both will offer support for as much as 90W fast charging. Incidentally, the very same MDY-14-EC charger is used for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra. These devices are manufactured by Beijing Changshu Technology Co., Ltd. and Lens Technology (Xiangtan) Co., Ltd.
