Wei Siqi, the General Manager of Mobile Phone Marketing and Deputy General Manager of Automobile Marketing at Xiaomi, has confirmed that this update would form part of the next camera version and that this upgrade would also host on older models.
New Watermark Color Feature
Meanwhile, editing any photo from the gallery using a Xiaomi Phone gives the option to change the color of a watermark between black and white, but in actual capturing through a camera app, this feature is not provided. The latest update going to allow users to directly choose the watermark color from the camera settings for more customization.
Which Devices Will Support the Update
Though Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the list, it will be available on devices that support Leica Watermark functionality. The list could include:
- Xiaomi 13 series
- Xiaomi 14 series
- Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro
- Other models with features supporting Leica cameras.
Impact on Older Devices
Another important highlight is that even the older models which had this feature of watermarking would also receive the upgrade, thereby showing how serious Xiaomi is in ensuring that new features trickle down to its lineup of products to ensure even the existing set of users face no lag.
