The celebratory photos of Xiaomi Automobile Factory Phase II online have revealed that the body shop in the Xiaomi Intelligent Industrial Base Project has quickly completed the steel structure. This factory occupies a total of 531,000 square meters of land and cost Xiaomi 842 million yuan in late July this year. Surprisingly, the topping-out ceremony has taken place just two months later.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun recently said on social media that two big smart factories were completed this year, namely the Changping mobile phone factory and the Yizhuang automobile factory.
Strong sales performance supplements the rapid development of Xiaomi’s auto production facilities. During the National Day holiday, Lei Jun announced that more than 6,000 orders had been received for the Xiaomi SU7. Another ambitious goal he gave for October: 20,000 units produced and delivered. In September, Xiaomi had already delivered over 10,000 units, underscoring the progress it has made in the electric vehicle market.
