Today, Xiaomi Auto officially announced that the official launch of the outdoor wake-up defense function for the Xiaomi SU7 aims at improving security in cars and keeping them from opening through voice commands given from outside the vehicle.
This new feature opts for the employment of Xiaomi’s self-developed sound model, boasting that it allows the voice wake-up commands attempted from outside the vehicle to be suppressed at a rate of 99%. That is, the unauthorized individuals cannot make the car’s system fire up with some voice commands in case the vehicle rests.
How It Works
The outdoor wake-up defense function activates under specific conditions:
- The vehicle should be in Park gear.
- Locking is required for the central control system.
- All the doors and windows are to be closed.
By meeting these conditions, this function activates and greatly reduces the possibility of the vehicle systems recognizing external voice commands.
Available via OTA Update To access this new feature, owners of the Xiaomi SU7 will have to update their vehicle’s software via an over-the-air update to version 1.2.8 or newer to equip the car with state-of-the-art protection against possible security compromises.
