The update emphasized major optimizations concerning the Xiaomi 14 series, focusing much more on problems reported by users in performance, functionality, and user experience. The changes will be seen in upcoming software releases for users to be able to observe.
Key Optimizations in HyperOS 2
It has placed much attention on finding the solutions to various different issues affecting the performance of its flagships, namely: Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and 14 Ultra. The improved list includes the following:
- Camera Street Mode Enhancements: Optimized the issue of importing preset information in Street Photography Mode for Xiaomi 14 Pro (OS 2.0.7.11) and Xiaomi 14 Ultra (OS 2.0.8.8).
- Super Zoom Adjustments: Super zoom is further polished on Xiaomi 14 (OS 2.0.7.11) to work better in certain scenarios.
- Album Display Fixes: Fixed an issue whereby CAD images occasionally did not show up within albums.
- Xiao Ai Smart Assistant: Corrected abnormal icon sizes of Xiao Ai’s suggestions in some scenarios.
- Fixed an issue where manually inputting commands into Super Xiao Ai would trigger screen image recognition inadvertently.

Xiaomi is also getting busy fixing the following issues reported by people:
Theme and Wallpaper Issues
- Crashes on applying some of the theme wallpapers.
- Desktop wallpaper changes are acting up under certain conditions.
Statistics of Battery Usage Time
- The Mobile Manager in some cases calculates the wrong time of battery usage.
Late Icon Display
- In Xiaomi 14 Ultra (OS 2.0.8.0), icons are rendered with some delay in certain scenarios.
What’s next for HyperOS 2?
These optimizations, as Xiaomi continues to refine HyperOS 2, underpin the company’s commitment to improving user experiences on flagship devices. The latest updates target core functionalities such as the camera, assistant tools, and system stability.
Future updates will probably be much more aligned with the HyperOS 2 ecosystem and follow the published roadmap of Xiaomi for seamlessness and innovation. 13c has too many issues, Screen Shot, no scrolling to take a full picture, no quick ball, which is the shortcuts to split screen or more precisely split apps, is not present in other things that are not present in many things, you guys are the worst company or the best company, you are the worst company, I have been using Xiaomi from 2016 until today, you are still the worst company.

What about Xiaomi 14C, what am seeing is 14 pro and 14 Ultra.
Why there is no update for redmi note 11t 5g after this I will not buy any xiaomi,redmi phones to family and my friends.
It seems like the emphasis is only on the Xiaomi 14 series. What about the other devices you make?
The Redmi Note 13 series, for instance. The base model, Redmi 13 4G has received the Hyper Os 2 but there’s no single change advertised online that came to this device. There are no animations, no depth effects when setting a wallpaper. There’s literally nothing!
We say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This update also took away some of our favourite small stuff. Ringtones were removed. I mean, why, Xiaomi. Why?
Don’t buy Xiaomi if want android auto to work plus theirs lots of other issues aswell.
Its Monday, 12/16/2024 & my Xiaomi 14 Ultra has still not received the HyperOS2 update yet ? WTF !!!
I’ve Xiaomi MI 11, which has problem with sound & Media (like you can’t play any video and no sound whatsoever)
And I’ve been searching the whole Internet for the solution but nothing at all.
If anyone knows the fix, please let me know.

Even if the Redmi 13c gets the hyper os 2.0 update it’s not coming with the new control center so it’s just a waste the phone will still be the same tch.
Very disappointing update policy:
As of today (19th of December) my Xiaomi 14 still on August (!) security patch and on 1.0.22.0.UNCEUXM

Approx. 1-2 hrs before writing my previous comment I checked the updates. Nothing new with valid region setting to Germany. Trying with another region setting like UK, India, South Korea, Brunei, Belarussia, Belgum, Switzerland, etc. I’ve got 1.1.4.0.VNCEUXM offered but I didn’t installed it.
Just for fun, right after sending my previous comment I did it again 😉 and now, the update check shows me an available update (region Germany) to 2.0.1.0.VNCEUXM => WOW!! (now I’m relieved)
They said my phone (Redmi note 12pro 5g stable) get hyper is 2.0 in December but why didn’t I get now??
