Xiaomi 17T series camera details (February 24, 2026)
According to @DigitalChatStation, the Xiaomi 17T series has officially been registered and is progressing much faster than previous generations. Here are the latest confirmed details regarding the new lineup:
Both models will feature Leica imaging capabilities. Notably, the Xiaomi 17T Pro will be equipped with a periscope telephoto lens, offering a significant zoom upgrade.
Xiaomi 17T IMEI Registration is done
The GSMA database registration for the Xiaomi 17T market name has finally been completed. The Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro are now visible in the GSMA database.
Skipping the number “16” is not new
Xiaomi skipped the 16 series after the Xiaomi 15 series and moved directly to the Xiaomi 17 series in order to release phones with the same model numbers as Apple.
It will be introduced early
Xiaomi T series phones are generally introduced in September – October. This year, however, the Xiaomi T series will be introduced this early for the first time. The fact that the model numbers start with 2602 points to February 2026. Generally, phones are ready to be introduced by these dates. In older Xiaomi T series, there were dates like 2506 and 2407 that pointed to the summer months.
Furthermore, the early registration of the Xiaomi 17T Pro market name shows that this phone will go on sale early. The Xiaomi 17 was introduced in China in September 2025, and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in December 2025. Their global introductions will be made, but have not started yet. It is highly probable that the new Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro devices will be introduced along with the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 series.

Additionally, according to information we found in Mi Code, the camera specifications of the Xiaomi 17T series will be exactly the same as the Xiaomi 15T series. There is no innovation in the Xiaomi 17T series regarding the camera.
Both phones feature a main camera with 50MP resolution. The OVX8000 sensor is used for the standard model, while the OVX9100 sensor, which is the same as the Xiaomi 15, is used for the Pro model. Both phones have a 50 MP telephoto camera, but the standard model has the Samsung JN5D sensor, while the Pro model has the Samsung JN5 sensor. Both phones feature a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with the OV13B sensor and a 32 MP front camera with the Samsung S5KKDS sensor.
The Xiaomi 17T battery capacity will increase by 1000 mAh compared to the previous generation, featuring a 6500 mAh battery with 67W charging. It is not yet clear what the battery capacity of the Xiaomi 17T Pro will be. In the 15T series, the battery capacities of the 15T and 15T Pro were the same.
The “Fan” Difference
The Xiaomi 17T Pro will be a device offered to the global market using the same platform as the REDMI K90 Ultra. There will be a processor cooling FAN located in the rear camera island of the REDMI K90 Ultra.
According to the information found in Mi Code, this fan will not be present in the Xiaomi 17T series. It will be exclusive only to the REDMI K90 Ultra.
This year’s Xiaomi T series phone, the Xiaomi 17T Pro, will go on sale early this year. The device, which will offer near-flagship performance with the Dimensity 9500, will not be significantly different from the Xiaomi 15T Pro.
