Xiaomi 16 real images leaked: Looks like iPhone with HyperOS

A recent leak from Chinese social media has revealed the Xiaomi 16’s design, showcasing the device running HyperOS 3. The new interface blends elements reminiscent of both iOS and Android, signaling Xiaomi’s intent to appeal to a broader, global audience.

Leaked images highlight a revamped UI, featuring modernized app icons and a redesigned battery indicator. Most notably, Xiaomi appears to have introduced its own take on Apple’s Dynamic Island. This adaptive notification area sits at the top of the display, remaining discreet as a camera cutout when inactive, but expanding to deliver contextual information and controls as notifications or system actions occur. It’s a clear move toward delivering a more premium, interactive user experience.

The screenshots also confirm the inclusion of the Xiaomi Community app, supporting reports that the Xiaomi 16 will launch globally, not just in select markets.

In terms of hardware, the Xiaomi 16 is set to launch in September 2024 and will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor—positioning it as a direct competitor to other flagship models releasing in the same timeframe. Previous leaks have shown the hardware, but these new images provide the first comprehensive look at the device’s software experience.

For users eager to explore HyperOS features ahead of the official launch, the company points to the availability of the MemeOS Enhancer app on the Play Store, which offers access to additional Xiaomi functionalities and updates.

Yeah agree. It’s a bit sad they try so hard to become an Apple lookalike. Imo Samsung does a decent job here by copying what’s nice about iOS but changing it a bit to match their own design language.

Btw. Emir you got the release year wrong unless you live in a different timeline.
