Xiaomi has now prepared the Global Stable HyperOS 3 update for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra – now one of the first flagships to receive the Android 16–based system. The internal testing builds have already been finalized, namely OS3.0.1.0.WOAMIXM (Global) and OS3.0.1.0.WOAINXM (India), which means that the public rollout could well start any moment. Recently, the Xiaomi 15T series and Xiaomi 15 have also started receiving the same update, which further confirms that the global release is fast approaching.
What’s new with HyperOS 3 on Xiaomi 15 Ultra
The new HyperOS 3 is based on Android 16 and introduces a host of system-level changes that redefine the Xiaomi ecosystem. Major updates include enhancements in AI, refreshing system icons, smoother animations, and the addition of an iOS-style multitasking experience for intuitive interface purposes.
Other performance optimizations include quicker app launch times and decreased power consumption in the background. Plus, Xiaomi’s AI-powered image and video editor has been improved to make photo editing more efficient than ever on the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Smooth Rollout in Near Future
Now that the internal versions are at the release candidate stage for both Global and India, the official rollout should occur within the coming days, starting with limited users before expanding globally. When this is complete, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will become the first Ultra flagship to run the stable HyperOS 3 (Android 16) firmware worldwide.
Xiaomi users can expect OTA availability through the device’s settings, or they can manually install the update using tools available at HyperOSUpdates.com.
