Xiaomi is going to generate excitement at next month’s Barcelona-hosted Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 by unveiling globally its highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra on March 2. The premium smartphone, viewed via detailed, high-resolution images released by Android Headlines, has an out-of-the-box form factor drawing influences from Leica’s signature designs while boasting best-in-class innovations in the field of mobility, coupled with an improved imaging system.
Premium Quality Meets Photographing Excellence
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra has an attractive two-toned finish consisting of premium glass alongside plain leather, borrowed from classic Leica cameras like the SL2 Silver Edition. The device still has Xiaomi’s signature rounded camera module, this time carrying an updated quad-camera system featuring an outwards-facing periscope tele lens alongside Leica branding.
Innovative construction and presentation
The device employs Xiaomi’s premium four-curved micro-arc build, featuring subtly arched back and front glass while maintaining an unobstructive display surface. The display screen, measuring 6.73 inches, comes with an incredibly detailed resolution of 3200 x 1440, complemented by adaptive refresh rate support from 1-120Hz, protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass 2.0.
Cutting-Edge Camera System
The imaging capabilities of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra represent a significant upgrade, featuring:
- A 50MP main camera with Sony LYT-900 one-inch sensor and OIS
- A 50MP ultra-wide camera with the Samsung JN5 sensor
- A 50MP tele lens with the Sony IMX858 sensor, 3x optical zoom
- A first-in-industry 200MP periscope telephoto camera with Samsung HP9 sensor, together with an optical zoom of 4.3x – A 32 megapixel selfie camera for great selfies
Performance and Power
At its heart, the device has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The device has an enormous 5410mAh battery, complemented by charging support that includes wired charging via 90W HyperCharge, as well as an 80W wireless HyperCharge, coupled with reverse wireless charging support at 10W.
Additional Functions
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra comes with HyperOS 2, an Android 15 system, featuring greater security through under-screen ultrasonic fingerprints. The device comes with an IP68 level of waterproofing and dust proofing, two speakers, and USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C. At 161.3 x 75.3 x 9.48mm, it weighs 229 grams, maintaining premium performance while still being practical.
European customers, in particular, will welcome news that the device actually comes bundled with an included charger, further showing Xiaomi’s commitment to convenience.

wait, for the global market there’s going to be a 1TB model? There hasn’t been any Ultra model that actually got a 1TB model but I’ve been hearing multiple leaks of only a 16/512gb variant for the global release. I believe you may have gotten your information a bit wrong, or perhaps I am simply misinterpreting it. Thanks for uploading this regardless, its helpful.
