Xiaomi has finally launched its highly anticipated Xiaomi 15 Ultra during the MWC 2025 event, and the flagship device is already generating a buzz in the market. The first sale in China started today, and the price begins at 6,499 yuan ($900). Early reports indicate an overwhelming response, reinforcing Xiaomi’s position in the ultra-premium smartphone segment.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Shatters Sales Records
Xiaomi Group president and partner Lu Weibing stated that the first-day sales of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China are up by more than 50% from its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Meanwhile, the global pre-sale volume has more than doubled, reflecting strong demand overseas. The excellent results show the growing influence of Xiaomi’s flagship smartphones across the globe.
State-of-the-Art Camera Technology
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, codenamed “Night God”, features Xiaomi’s most advanced Leica-powered camera system to date. The phone features an industry-first quad-camera setup with:

- 200MP ultra-telephoto lens with up to 28x lossless zoom
Its four-camera, eight-focal-length arrangement prepares the Xiaomi 15 Ultra for pro mobile photography. Xiaomi’s own AISP (Advanced Image Signal Processing) and improved night photography functionality also improve the performance of the camera, allowing users to capture stunning photographs in any kind of light.
Display, Performance, and Battery
Apart from its camera capabilities, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra also boasts a beautiful 6.73-inch full-depth micro-curved LTPO display for a more immersive viewing experience. It is also powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Extreme chipset under the hood, which delivers blazing-fast performance for gaming, multitasking, and AI-powered apps.
The 6000mAh (5410 for Global) Jinshajiang battery also supports 90W wired fast charging and 80W wireless flash charging, allowing users to charge their devices in record time. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra also offers Tiantong satellite communication and Xiaomi Xingchen communication technology for enhanced connectivity in remote locations.
