Xiaomi 15 officially launched, price starting from 620 USD

Today, Chinese company Xiaomi made an important step ahead with the development of its flagship line by introducing the Xiaomi 15 series. The price tag for this powerful configuration and set of innovative features, which distinguish this device as compact and high-performance, is from 4,499 yuan, or about $620. This model will go on sale in four colors: Lilac Purple, Light Grass Green, Black, and White, while there will also be a special “Bright Silver Edition” that utilizes an advanced aluminum high-gloss process to realize light and refined-looking results.

Key Specifications and Features of Xiaomi 15

  1. Look Alike: It boasts a 6.36-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2670x 1200. It sports LIPO three-dimensional screen packaging and Xiaomi’s faceplate, called Dragon Crystal glass, which increases resistance to drops 10x fold compared with the predecessor. It uses LTPO to promote a dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz and provides a peak brightness of 3200 nits for clear display even under direct sunlight.
  2. Performance: Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, Xiaomi 15 guarantees fast workflow with high-performance efficiency. Besides, additional cores will improve performance, complemented by Xiaomi HyperCore technology and a self-developed micro-architecture scheduler that cuts app startup time by up to 45.7%. The starting capability is 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
  3. Cooling System: In heavy use, the Xiaomi 15 introduces a new-generation “wing-shaped ring cooling system” to effectively dissipate heat and maintain high performance over a really long time.
  4. Battery and Charging: Housed with a 5400mAh battery, which is larger by 790mAh than the predecessor, Xiaomi 15 promises longer power. It supports 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and is compatible with Xiaomi’s Surge P3 and G1 chips that improve charging and battery management further. Special Design Highlights of the Bright Silver Edition

The Bright Silver Edition draws inspiration from the Mi 6 and Mi 10 Ultra, from Xiaomi. It uses an aluminum high-brightness process, realizing a mirror-like finish but with only a third of the weight compared to stainless steel. Merging a 3D cold-sculpted crater design with a wrap-around middle frame, this is distinctive, light, and premium.

The Xiaomi 15 thus combines the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, advanced cooling, high-speed charging, and Leica-tuned cameras.
