Xiaomi 14 receives HyperOS 1.5 August update

• Video App Display fix: The update addresses an issue wherein video apps would show abnormally in the minimized window after several times of switching back and forth between horizontal and vertical screens. It also fixes the abnormal size of the mini-window that occurs in some gaming scenes.

Statusbar and Notification Bar

• Text and Notification Display Optimization: Optimized the abnormal display of the texts or notifications with various language settings under certain circumstances.

Vientiane Rest Screen

• Flashback Issue: The problem of having occasional flashbacks in some cases has been fixed.

More Features and Optimizations

• Long Screenshot Issue: Long screenshot background does not remain purely black anymore when there is a global search.

System

• App Preloading and Startup Optimization: App preloading strategy has been optimized for swiftness when launching apps. Similar to the case above, the strategy in startup animation has improved the velocity of starting up apps in general.
• Game Flashback Fix: Fixes have been done to solve an occasional game flash-back issue.

Desktop

• Stable Animation: Facial animation has been optimized to be more stable during sliding up to return to the desktop.
• Desktop layout Fix: The blank space of the desktop layout in split space for some of the scenarios has been fixed.

Lock Screen

• Editing Style Option: Added a switch for “Long Press Lock Screen Edit Style.” When off, a long press on the lock screen will not trigger editing of the lock screen.
